2009 People Powered Movement Photo ContestIn 2009, the Alliance held the People Powered Movement inviting photographers from across North America to turn their best biking and walking photos into a chance to win a 10-day all-expense-paid bike tour of Tuscany, a year’s supply of CLIF BARS, and other prizes. The contest received more than 2,000 photos in seven contest categories. Public voting helped narrow down the finalists, and a panel of judges selected the final winners. From those entries, nearly 700 photos were selected for inclusion in the Bike/Walk Photo Library. The Alliance thanks everyone who participated and contributed photos in support of bicycle and pedestrian advocacy. We also thank our sponsors for making this contest and resulting photo library possible. |
