Just ask the folks at the Bicycle Alliance of Washington. The Seattle-based organization was among the groups selected for assistance during the competitive application process in 2010. Barbara Culp, the group’s executive director, says the BAW is already seeing improvements. “The Strategic Planning process has positively changed how we do business in the office, and the board of directors, staff and membership are eager for the planning summit this spring to help clarify and focus the organization to meet the ever-shifting bicycle advocacy movement,” she says.
