Over 130 cyclists throughout the state attended representing bicycle clubs, shops, advocates, retailers, manufacturers, and other individuals committed to a bicycle-friendly New Jersey. According to the New Jersey Bicycle Coalition’s Jim Nicholson, “ From the comments we have received on the day and since, it was a huge success. To this end, we are pleased to release an easy-to-read and beautifully designed Summary Report of Bike Summit 2009. Thanks to Fred Sztabinski for putting the final touches on this report and getting it out the door. Printed copies are available for pick-up or mailing. The two-day event featured talks on advocacy, legislative training, and a “Ride on the Capitol” media event, where more than 200 bicyclists pedaled from Monona Terrace to the State Capitol to speak to their Legislators about the importance of bicycling in our communities.
