Listserv

Learn about the Alliance listserv including how to join, how to access the archives, how to reset your password, and Guidelines for use.

This listserv is one of the Alliance’s most important tools for sharing the valuable, hard-fact resources and experience of our expert state and local bicycle and pedestrian advocacy organization leaders. All messages must assist the efforts of these leaders and will be regarded as representing the member organization. All posts must be succinct and valuable to the leaders of Alliance member organizations.

This list is reserved for questions and solutions. Topics must pertain to:

* Development, planning, design and construction of bicycle and pedestrian facilities.
* Resources and implementation of bicycle and pedestrian safety and education programs.
* Laws and policies that affect bicycling and walking.
* Growing a bicycle and/or pedestrian advocacy organization.
* Dramatically increasing bicycling and walking and decreasing crashes.

Solutions must include sources of information or clear analysis of personal experience with resources and references for further research.  The list relies upon unbiased information and shall not serve as a promotional forum for specific for-profit companies, products, or services.

If a posting is inappropriate, the moderator shall contact the originator to inform him or her of such. The moderator may suggest moving the discussion off-line. Those who persist in posting inappropriate posts to this list will be removed from the list.

The Alliance Listserv is a valuable tool that we encourage all of our member organizations to join and participate. This Listserv allows members to ask questions and offer solutions to each other. Many of our members have solved problems that you may be facing and can send you their resources, saving you valuable time and the resources of your organization.
Before joining, please take a moment to read the listserve guidelines above.

Quick Tips for Subscribing to the List:

• Click the “Join the Listserve” link below to access the list registration page.
• Find the section of the page titled “Subscribing to People”.
• Fill out your email address, Name and Organization, password, and choose your preferred delivery option.
• Click the subscribe button to submit your request.
• You will be notified via email when your subscription has been approved.

The password that you use to access membership options and archives for the Alliance Listserve may not be the same as your password for the Resources Library
To access the archives and your membership options for the listserve, you will need to know your listserve password.

To Reset your list password

• Send an email with the word password in the subject line to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
• You will receive an email shortly with your new listserve password

Many times, members seek answers to questions that might have already been discussed on the Alliance’s People listserve. As a list member, you can click the link below to visit the archived messages that have been sent by other members.
(Please note that we are converting the archives from the old Thunderhead listserve and should have them available at this link shortly as well.)

Many members of the listserve have asked how to change the delivery option of emails.

• The NoDigest Option: Allows you to receive individual messages from the listserve in your email.
• The Digest Option: Allows you to receive one email per day that combined all messages sent to the list for that day.

To change your listserve subscription options:

• Click the “Member Options” link below to access the Listserve Member Options page.
• Fill in your email address and listserve password, and click the log-in button.
• Update the options, and click submit
