Alliance U.S. Mayors Bike Ride July 4thPosted: 05/15/2003 The Alliance U.S. Mayors Bike Ride encourages bicycle advocacy leaders across the country to take their mayors on a bike ride on July 4th to show, first hand the benefits of bicycling to their community and to showcase improvements that could invite more people to ride. This event is a memorial to bicycling advocate Susie Stephens (1965 - 2002). If you would like to take the lead on organizing a U.S. Mayors Bike Ride in your community and you are the leader of a Alliance member organization, please visit our members-only section and find the toolkit under Programs, Projects, Events. If you are not a leader of a Alliance member organization, but would like to help in your community, please visit our links page for a list of member organizations. Find the one closest to you and contact them to offer your help. |
