The biennial Leadership Retreat is the “must attend” summit of executive directors, staff, and key leaders of grassroots biking and walking organizations across North America. This event will bring together advocacy leaders for three days of networking, training, and sharing. The result: stronger organizations that will improve bicycling and walking in communities. Grassroots organizing is the most effective method to transform communities into better places to bike and walk. Your sponsorship will help us reach more leaders by keeping it affordable, providing scholarships, and support for organizations that need it most. Excellent fit for companies looking to raise their national profile. Contact Jeff Miller to discuss sponsorring this event at (202) 445-4415 or Jeff@PeoplePoweredMovement.org. Winning Campaigns Trainings
Hundreds of advocacy leaders from across North America have participated in this signature Alliance training on how to plan and execute successful campaigns to increase biking, walking, and safety. In 2010 we will host six Winning Campaigns Trainings throughout North America. This three-day training sends participants home with a blueprint for success and energized to launch their Winning Campaign. Great opportunity for regional or national companies looking for exposure. Over 200 advocacy leaders participated in the Alliance’s Mutual Aid Conference Call Series last year. In 2010 we will host 20 free conference calls on topics that will bring together bicycle and pedestrian advocates to share knowledge and expertise, get questions answered, and strengthen their work. These virtual roundtable discussions allow advocacy leaders to share best practices and learn from each other, even when not in the same room. Good fit for companies looking for national exposure. In 2010 we are preparing to release an updated Guide to Complete Streets Campaigns and working towards the newest book in our Guide Series - the Guide to Funding Bicycle and Pedestrian Projects. These books are essential resources to help advocates win new policies and funding for biking and walking. Inside, advocates will find successful models and examples to emulate, best practice tips, and blueprints for success. Excellent fit for companies looking to raise their national profile. Our first printing of20,000 books will be distributed to advocates and educators at below-market cost so that this resource can be sustained while having maximum benefit.
