Columbus is making major strides toward becoming bike-friendly; in its April 2008 issue, Bicycling Magazine declared Columbus to be one of the "Future Best Cities for Cycling." From vibrant downtown districts to an array of outstanding restaurants and professional sports to a thriving arts scene, Ohio's capital city offers variety at its best. Columbus' top entertainment areas, the Arena District, the Short North Arts District, the Brewery District and the German Village surround downtown -- meaning you don't have to venture far to have a good time. Just north of the downtown area, the city also boasts Ohio State and the renowned research organization, Battelle Memorial Institute. And Columbus is pretty flat, so you can bike virtually everywhere with ease.
